Spicy Mustard Honey Wings

These chicken wings are roasted in the oven producing a delicious alternative to the deep fried wings so many of us are familiar with.

Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3 tbsp soya sauce
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh ginger
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- 2 lb (1 kg) chicken wing pieces and drumettes
- 3 tbsp honey
- lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- Combine the mustard, soya sauce, garlic, ginger, chili powder, cumin, pepper and chicken in a large non-reactive bowl or a large resealable plastic bag.
- Cover or seal and place in the refrigerator for 8 hours or overnight.
- Grease a wire rack and place it on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the chicken in a single layer on the prepared wire rack.
- Cook in a preheated oven for about 35 minutes, turning once during cooking.
- Brush the wings with honey and cook for a further 10 minutes or until tender.
- Serve with lime wedges.
Notes
Make ahead: The wings are best marinated a day ahead for maximum flavor.
