On November 4, 2017, producer Don, participated in this tradeshow-like event which saw approximately 340 grade four students move from booth to booth, hearing from different livestock commodities and farm representatives. Don has been a regular at this event for many years, sharing his extensive knowledge of broiler chickens with the students.

On February 16, 2017 poultry farmers Marc & Hinke Therrien were named Alberta/NWT Outstanding Young Farmers for 2017! Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program recognizes young farmers who exemplify excellence in their profession.
